To make sure this car could be enjoyed completely without the constant worry of paint damage from rock chips and road debris, it received our Driver’s Package in XPEL ULTIMATE Clear Bra which protects the Front Bumper, Headlamps and Fog Lamps, Full Hood, Full Fenders, Rocker Panels, Lower Doors, Rear Bumper Impact Area, Side Mirrors, and Door Cups by absorbing the impact of road debris that causes rock chips. We then applied GYEON quartz Protective Coatings to the Body (Film and Paint) as well as the Wheels. The Quartz Coatings will add big time gloss, offer real protection from UV and chemical damage, and make regular maintenance cleaning very simple and safe for the finish. So how do we do it?
Each project starts with a deep cleaning of the entire vehicle to make sure we have a perfectly prepped surface to work with. We requested that the dealership not put this M2 through its “detail” department to avoid any damage from proper handling, which is a real concern.
Once the paint is clean, we can evaluate its condition. Because we did not allow the dealership to touch the car, the paint defects were minimal and only required a few hours of polishing to clean up and bring the most color and gloss out of this paint finish. Once prepared, we move on to the Clear Bra Installation. We use XPEL ULTIMATE Clear Bra and the XPEL DAP Design Software to custom design and pre cut each area of coverage for the car. This allows for a very precise install and a very safe install, where no hand trimming of large areas with a razor is happening over the new paint.
Before protecting the Front Bumper in Clear Bra, we removed the factory orange side markers and replaced them with a color matched set for a cleaner look.

Once the Clear Bra was installed, and while the M2 was on the lift, we pulled all 4 Wheels in order to deep clean and Quartz Coat them using GYEON quartz Q2 Rim. Q2 Rim is designed specifically for wheels and will not be broken down by high temperatures. The Coating will protect from degradation from brake dust and other road contaminants while adding a great gloss and making cleaning very simple.
Once the Wheels are well protected and placed back on the M2, it is time to Coat the paint and film. We chose GYEON quartz Q2 DuraFlex for this project. This is the latest Quartz Coating from GYEON and is something really special. It is a 2 part system with a separate base coat and top coat chemistry. The Q2 Base layer is designed to provide our long term protection and bond. The Q2 Flexi top coat adds even more gloss, insane water behavior, and leaves an extremely slick surface for easy and safe wash maintenance.
Once the Coating is installed, it is then Infrared Cured for maximum performance.
Now this car is perfectly set up to be driven hard on the Denver Colorado roads without being destroyed by rock chips and road debris damage. Check out the final shots!
