GET A FREE ESTIMATEThe Porsche Cayenne was initially released to save Porsche from bankruptcy in the late 1990s and early 2000s, but since then has become a core pillar for Porsche's vehicle lineup. With variants ranging from a base model all the way up to a full GT model with the Turbo GT, the Cayenne is a dominant part of Porsche’s brand.
This 2026 Cayenne GTS, finished with all black interior and exterior, received GYEON Full-Body Paint Protection Film and our Level 2 GYEON Ceramic Coating Systems.
step 1: Decontamination Wash
With every car that comes through the shop we start with our thorough decontamination wash. This wash will prepare the paint on this Cayenne for a perfect PPF and Ceramic Coating installation.
We’ll always start our wash with cleaning the wheels. Using
GYEON Q2M Iron WheelCleaner and specialized brushes, we’ll thoroughly clean both the wheel faces and barrels, ensuring that we are removing all brake dust and chemical contaminants.
From there, we’ll saturate the entire surface of the vehicle with
GYEON Q2M Foam to remove any large, surface level contaminants such as dirt, mud or road salt. This step also makes it much safer to perform a contact wash, since there are less large particles to scratch your paint.
Once the foam (and contaminants) are rinsed off, we will start our contact wash using GYEON Q2M Bathe and the two-bucket method. We’ll fill one bucket with just water and one bucket with water and our wash soap. This allows us to have one bucket to rinse our wash mitt, ensuring we aren’t introducing any swirling or scratching to the surface of the vehicle.
Moving top-to-bottom and always in straight lines, we’ll use a
GYEON Q2M Smoothie to wash each panel. It’s important to note that we are rinsing our wash mitt after each panel to again ensure we are not scratching or swirling the paint.
When the contact wash is finished, we’re able to get started with proper decontamination. To remove chemical contaminants, we love
GYEON Q2M Iron. It’s excellent at removing chemical and metal-based contaminants, leaving behind a surface free of those contaminants. After this, we’ll use a clay bar and
Q2M Clay Lube to remove any final contaminants still embedded in the paint.
To round out our wash process, we’ll dry the whole car with a
BLO Car Dryer before moving it to our PPF area.
Step 2: Paint Protection Film
This client wanted absolute protection for their new Cayenne GTS, so they opted for our Full-Body GYEON PPF package.
Full-Body PPF is by far our most comprehensive PPF package, covering all painted, gloss black, or carbon fiber surfaces with durable GYEON PPF. This is especially important on black cars like this Cayenne since black paint typically shows significantly more scratches, chips and swirling than lighter colors such as silver or white.
Before we even touch the car, we’ll start at the computer. Using the GYEON Cut software, we’ll design PPF patterns designed specifically for each panel on this Cayenne. Then, using a large printer commonly known as a plotter, we can print those patterns. Pre-printing PPF patterns this way ensures more consistent installations with less stretching and distortion.
Once all of the patterns are printed, we can get started on the PPF installation. To start, our factory-trained installers will spray the entire panel with GYEON Slip, an effective slip solution designed specifically for installing GYEON paint protection film. We’ll then lay the pre-printed PPF pattern on the panel. Our installers will set anchor points and properly align the film on the panel before using a squeegee to push the slip solution out from underneath the film, allowing the film’s adhesive to adhere to the paint.
Using this same method, our installers will work their way around the car, covering every panel with paint protection film. Once they’re done, we’ll let the car sit overnight. This allows excess moisture to dry and reveals any touch ups or unwrapped edges that we still need to take care of. Once we fix any minor areas that need work, the car will land under the light booth for its ceramic coating.

Step 3: Ceramic Coating
Staying with the theme of maximum protection, this client wanted the best of the best for their ceramic coating, which is our Level 2 GYEON Ceramic Coating System.
Our Level 2 Ceramic Coating System delivers comprehensive coverage with ceramic coatings, covering all painted exterior surfaces with a double layer of GYEON ceramic coating as well as specialized coating for both the wheels and windshield.
With GYEON 360, the GYEON ceramic coatings we use are designed to work together with GYEON PPF. With the coatings and PPF working together, you will always see an improved outcome for your vehicle’s paint.
Since this Cayenne has full-body PPF, there is no exposed paint, which means that we don’t need to do any paint correction and can jump straight into prepwork.
To remove any grease, lubricants or water spots left on the surface of the vehicle, we’ll wipe the entire car down with
Q2M Prep and
Q2M WaterSpot.
Now, to start installing the coating, we’ll grab our coatings, Q2 Infinite Base Type 1 and Infinite TopCoat Type 2 and a specialized microfiber applicator. After generously pouring Base Type 1 onto the applicator, we’ll carefully apply teh coating onto the car. We move one panel at a time and apply the coating in a cross hatch pattern so that we aren’t leaving any high spots anywhere on the car.
To wipe the excess coating off, we’ll first use a GYEON Bald Wipe to remove the majority of the excess coating, followed by a GYEON Soft Wipe which has longer fibers and can penetrate deeper into the paint for a more complete removal.
Once we have coated the entire car with the base layer of coating, we’ll repeat the process with TopCoat Type two to round out the ceramic coatings on this Cayenne.
After we apply a tire dressing and clean the interior, this Cayenne is ready to be delivered to its owner.
