Python Green Macan GTS Equipped with Full-Body GYEON PPF

Step 1: Decontamination Wash

We take decontamination extremely seriously since this first step will have a serious impact on the quality of our install of paint protection film later on. As a GYEON Partner Studio, we exclusively use GYEON products throughout every step of this Macan’s journey through our shop.  Whether it’s wash soap, paint protection film, polish compound or ceramic coating, GYEON products consistently achieve the best outcomes for your vehicle’s paint. 

To start the decontamination process, we’ll get the wheels and tires perfectly clean using GYEON Q2M Iron WheelCleaner, Q2M Tire Cleaner and a variety of specialized brushes, making sure that we’re getting every crack and crevice clean. To avoid spreading wheel grime onto this Macan’s paint, we have a dedicated bucket used only for wheels that is never used for cleaning paint.

Once all four wheels are finished, we can shift our focus to the rest of the vehicle. In order to give this Macan the most thorough and safe contact wash possible, we’ll pre-wash the car using GYEON Q2M Foam, applied using a foam cannon. GYEON Foam is an excellent solution for removing surface-level contaminants so that the wash mitt isn’t spreading those particles around, potentially scratching your paint. 

With the foam rinsed off, we’ll use the two-bucket method, GYEON Q2M Bathe and a Q2M Smoothie wash mitt for our contact wash. Moving top-to-bottom, we will diligently clean each panel, rinsing our wash mitt often. This, however, is not a quick wash. We always make sure that we are washing behind door handles, door jambs and any other details that other detailers may overlook. 

While this Macan GTS is now clean it is not yet decontaminated, so that’s our next move. To dissolve and remove many surface-level contaminants, we’ll use GYEON Q2M Iron. Oftentimes, you will see the contaminants ‘bleeding’ off of the paint in a rich purple color, giving a nice visualization that the product is doing its job. Once that’s rinsed off, we’ll use a clay bay and Q2M Clay Lube to remove any remaining embedded contaminants. 

With the car completely clean and decontaminated, we’ll dry it touchlessly using a BLO Car Dryer before it will land in our PPF bay for the GYEON clear bra install.

Step 2: Paint Protection Film

The owner of this Macan GTS wanted absolute protection for the stunning Python Green Paint, so the natural choice was Full-Body GYEON Paint Protection Film. Our Full-Body package includes PPF coverage on essentially every exterior surface including paint, gloss black plastic and even carbon fiber, ensuring that every inch of your vehicle is protected from rock chips, scratching, and even in some cases, minor impacts or scrapes with shopping carts or other vehicles. 

Before our factory-trained PPF installers ever touch the vehicle, they’ll start the paint protection film process at the computer. Our plotting software allows the installers to custom design and print PPF specifically for your vehicle. No Stretching. No Distortion. No Blades Near Your Paint. 

When the PPF for every panel of this Macan has been printed, our installers can begin their install. Using GYEON Q2M Slip as a slip solution, we’ll saturate the entire panel with our Slip, making sure that there’s no dry paint. From there, our installer will lay the pre-cut film onto the panel, making sure to align edges and set anchor points. Using a squeegee, they’ll push the slip solution out from underneath the film, allowing the film’s adhesive to stick to the vehicle’s paint. 

Once each edge is wrapped and we’ve dealt with any inconsistencies or mistakes with the film, we’ll move panel-by-panel using the same method until the whole vehicle is wrapped up with GYEON PPF. Once we’re done installing, we’ll let the car sit overnight to allow any moisture to dry. Once we come back in the next morning, we’ll inspect the car for any unwrapped edges or touch-ups.

With this Macan GTS all wrapped up in Gyeon Paint Protection Film, our detailers will take over to clean the interior, wipe down the vehicle and apply GYEON Q2M Tire. With PPF and the final inspection completed, this vehicle is ready to head home with its new owner.
